Privacy Policy
Appstack Tech, Inc. ("Appstack," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and the end users of the mobile applications that use our technology.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website (www.appstack.tech), use our platform, or when our Services are integrated into mobile applications ("Apps") via our SDKs and APIs.
Appstack operates primarily as a mobile infrastructure company. This means we help mobile app developers ("Clients") understand the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns and app usage. In doing so, we process two distinct categories of data:
Client Data: Information about our direct customers (app developers/marketers).
End-User Data: Information about the users who download and interact with our Clients' Apps.
Information We Collect
Client Data (Business Information)
We collect information directly from you when you register for an account, request a demo, or subscribe to our services.
Identity Data: Company name, Client contact name.
Contact Data: Business email addresses, phone numbers.
Billing Data: Payment information and billing addresses (processed via secure third-party payment processors).
Usage Data: Logs regarding how you interact with the Appstack dashboard.
End-User Data (SDK & API Collection)
When a Client integrates the Appstack SDK or API into their mobile App, we collect data about the devices and users interacting with that App. We process this data on behalf of our Clients.
Device Identifiers: IP address, User Agent, and unique device identifiers (depending on OS rules and user consent, such as IDFA, IDFV, GAID, or OAID).
Device Attributes: Device model, operating system version, carrier, language/locale, battery status, and timezone.
Attribution Data: Referrer data, link clicks, ad impressions, and install timestamps to determine which marketing campaign drove an install.
App Activity: In-app events as defined by the Client (e.g., "Level Completed," "Purchase," "Tutorial View") and session duration.
Tracking Technologies: We may use cookies, pixels, and local storage to facilitate attribution and deep linking.
How We Use Your Information
To Provide Our Services
We use the collected data to:
Attribution: Match app installs and events to specific marketing campaigns (e.g., determining that a user installed an App after clicking a Facebook ad).
Analytics: Provide Clients with dashboards and reports on user retention, LTV (Lifetime Value), and ROI.
Deep Linking: Route users to specific content inside an App when they click a link.
Business Operations
To manage your account and billing.
To communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, and support.
To improve the Appstack infrastructure and SDK performance.
How We Share Information
We do not sell data. We share data only as described below:
With Ad Networks & Media Partners: At the Client's direction, we send "postbacks" (conversion data) to advertising partners (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, ironSource) to optimize ad delivery. This sharing occurs only if the Client explicitly configures the integration.
Service Providers: We utilize third-party vendors to support our infrastructure. Our primary infrastructure provider is Google Cloud Platform. These vendors are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or regulation, or to protect the rights and safety of Appstack, our Clients, or others.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
International Data Transfers
Appstack Tech, Inc. is incorporated in Delaware, United States.
Information collected via our Services may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers (e.g., Google Cloud) operate.
By using our Services or integrating our SDK, you acknowledge that data may be transferred to jurisdictions that may not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction of residence. We implement appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable, to ensure data remains protected.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
Client Data: Retained for the duration of the active contract and a reasonable period thereafter for audit and legal purposes.
End-User Data: Retained as long as the Client's contract is active and they require the data for attribution and analytics. Upon contract termination, data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Security
We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits of our cloud infrastructure.
Your Rights & Choices
For Clients
You may access, update, or delete your account information by logging into the Appstack dashboard or contacting us.
For End-Users
Since Appstack acts as a Data Processor, if you are an end-user of an App using Appstack and wish to exercise your data rights (access, deletion, objection), please contact the App developer (the Data Controller) directly. We will assist the Client in fulfilling these requests.
Opt-Out Options:
Device Settings: Users can limit tracking via iOS settings ("Ask App Not to Track") or Android settings ("Delete advertising ID"). Appstack respects these signals in compliance with platform policies.
Client Configuration: Our SDK offers methods for Clients to limit data collection or flag users as "opted-out" of tracking.
Children's Privacy
Appstack does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent). Our Clients are contractually prohibited from integrating our SDK into Apps directed at children without complying with COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU) regulations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Clients via email or a prominent notice on our dashboard.
